Replication failover considerations with diverse network configurations
Replication can be configured in various ways with different IP families used in the network; some examples are:

Either a pure IPv4 or a pure IPv6 network for replication, where none of the sites are configured to support dual stack

The primary site is configured as dual stack and the secondary sites are each configured with either a pure IPv4 or a pure IPv6 network

The primary site and one of the secondary sites are configured as dual stack, and the other secondary sites are configured with either a pure IPv4 or a pure IPv6 network
In a failure scenario where one of the IP family networks fail, you must perform the migration steps on each primary and secondary node. Remember to set the IP mode to the available network before you change the replication settings. For example, if the replication was set using IPv6 address, and the IPv6 connectivity fails, add an IPv4 address on each node.
