Prerequisites for Configuring VBS

Ensure that the following prerequisites are met before you start using VBS:
  • You have configured high availability for the application components that are part of the virtual business service either with Cluster Server or Microsoft Failover Clustering.

  • You have installed Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Management Server version 6.0 or later. The managed host version should also be 4.1 or later. To use the features introduced in VBS 6.1 or later, the managed host version must be 6.0 or later and VIOM version must be 6.0 or later along with VBS 6.1 or later.
  • You are logged on as the Domain Administrator or the administrator on all tiers (clusters) of the virtual business service.
  • Port 2410 is open for Virtual Business Services daemon communication.
