Installing InfoScale on Kubernetes
InfoScale for Kubernetes allows for the deployment of scalable storage clusters across multiple nodes per cluster. The installation requires a master node to manage cluster operations, including the deployment of operators, license management, and container image registration in a private repository.
Administrators can configure clusters using custom resource (CR) files, which define storage architecture—such as Flexible Storage Sharing (FSS) or shared storage—and fencing mechanisms. For deployments utilizing shared storage, disk-based fencing is recommended to maintain availability. Multiple InfoScale clusters can coexist in the same environment by maintaining unique names and cluster IDs across namespaces. Upon uninstallation, users must remove InfoScale components, clear fencing keys, and reboot nodes to ensure all stale kernel modules are purged, preventing conflicts for potential future reinstalls.
