Stale entries remain after upgrading from 8.0.2, 9.0, 9.1 to 9.2.0 for SAPWebAS agent (4197512)

If the standalone SAP S/4HANA agent was already installed, you may see a stale entry for it in Control Panel > Programs and Features even after upgrading to InfoScale 9.2.0. This entry is stale because the agent is now bundled with InfoScale 9.2.0 and no longer requires a separate installation. You can ignore the stale entry, because it does not cause any functional issue.
Warning: Do not initiate an uninstallation from this entry. Doing so may remove current SAP S/4HANA agent files on which InfoScale 9.2.0 depends.
To safely remove the stale entry from Programs and Features:
  1. Open Registry Editor as an administrator. Press Win+R, type regedit and click OK. When prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
  2. Remove the Uninstall entry.
    1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.
    2. Press Ctrl+F and search for Veritas High Availability Agent for SAP with only the Data option checked; the search lands on a value named Comment. 3. Remove the Installer Products entry.
    1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products.
    2. Press Ctrl+F and search for vrtsvcssap.msi with only the Data option checked; the search lands on a value named PackageName. In the left pane, click the parent subkey of that value; for example, for agent version 8.0.2 and later, the parent subkey is named 049F1B7CCE2EDAD48A29DC94339240F8. Delete the parent subkey.
