Create Volume Snapshot - Space Optimized Snapshot panel options

Use this wizard panel to configure space-optimized snapshot for a volume. Using this panel, you can create a storage cache object or use a shared cache to store the original data on the data volume.

Field Description
Selected Volume Name of the volume for which you want to create a space-optimized snapshot
Snapshot name Enter a name for the space-optimized snapshot. The name can contain alphanumeric characters up to 32 numbers.
This field is optional.
Create new cache object Select this option to create a storage cache object.
Cache volume size Enter the size of the storage cache that you want to create. Choose the unit of size from the corresponding drop-down list.
Mirrors Select the number of mirrors that you want create on the storage cache.
Autogrow Select to enable the autogrow feature for the storage cache. If you select this size of the cache increases when the data in the original volume increases.
Use existing cache object Select this option if you want to use an existing shared cache to store the original data available on the data volume. This option is available only if the storage cache is available on the same disk group out of which the volume is created.
