Set Volume Usage panel options
Select one of the following options to set the read policy for a volume on a UNIX, Linux, or Windows host.

| Base on layouts | Select this option to let Storage Foundation select the appropriate read policy for the volume mirrors |
| Round robin | Select this option to read alternates between the volume mirrors. |
| Site local read | Select this option to read preferentially from plexes at the locally defined site. |
| Preferred | Select this option to specify a particular mirror from the list, to be used for reads, wherever possible. |
