Performing initial configuration of Management Server installation in DR environment

Before you configure a Linux-based Management Server in high availability and disaster recovery environment, you need to perform the following steps:
To perform initial configuration of Management Server installation in high availability and disaster recovery environment
  1. Install Management Server on the following nodes:
    Configuration Type Management Server Installation at Site A
    one to one node Node1
    Two to two nodes Node1 and Node2
    Two to one node Node1 and Node2
  2. Configure Node1 as Management Server in high availability environment using the virtual host and virtual IP. Follow the steps only for configuring Management server on Node1, described in the procedure.
  3. Configure Veritas Volume Replicator (VVR) or any other supported replication method between Site A and Site B.
  4. Add the following nodes as managed host to the Management Server that is configured on Node1:
    Configuration Type Managed host Installation at Site B
    one to one node Node2
    Two to two nodes Node3 and Node4
    Two to one node Node3
  5. Configure Site A and Site B as HA configuration.
  6. Use VCS DNS resource to update the host name and IP mapping. If you do not use DNS Agent, you must add the host names to the /etc/hosts file.
