Deduplicating file systems

InfoScale Operations Manager lets you set up data deduplication for a selected file system.
File systems for deduplication must meet the following requirements:
  • Storage Foundation 7.4.2 or later
  • File System (VxFS) disk layout version 9 or later
  • InfoScale Operations Manager managed host (VRTSsfmh) version 7.4.2 or later
InfoScale Operations Manager does not support deduplication on Windows file systems.
