Generating the registration key

Perform the following steps to generate the registration key (.alf file) for the LMS server from the License Analytics Service (LAS) console.
To generate the registration key:
  1. Sign in to the Support portal. Go to Products>InfoScale and Storage Foundation and under Recommended Links click License Analytics Service - LAS.
  2. Use the LAS user login credentials to sign in to the LAS portal.
  3. Review the End User License Agreement (EULA) and click Accept to proceed.
    Note: The EULA notification appears only on the first login.
  4. Click the Generate registration key tab.
  5. Enter the host lock string for the LMS server and click Generate registration key.
You can copy the host lock string from the Settings>Product registration page of LMS.
The generated registration key (.alf file) is displayed in the UI.
  1. Click Download to save the registration key to a local directory. You can then copy and apply this registration key to your LMS deployment.
