Installing License Management Service along with InfoScale Operations Manager 9.1.3

Use the following as a guideline if you want to install LMS along with the InfoScale InfoScale Operations Manager (IOM) version 9.1.3.
Prerequisites:
Install Operations Manager patch 9.1.3 or later on the IOM server.
If LMS version 8.0.2 or 9.0 is already installed along with IOM, you cannot directly upgrade to LMS 9.1.0. You must first uninstall the existing version of LMS (version 8.0.2 or 9.0), and then install LMS version 9.1.0.
To install and configure License Management Service in an Operations Manager environment
  1. Install the License Management Service on the VIOM server.
  2. Configure License Management Service.
During License Management Service configuration you are prompted for a host name and an IP address on which to install License Management Service. Ensure that you provide the same host name and IP where VIOM is installed.
Note: License Management Service does not prompt for the database path. License Management Service automatically gets the database path from VIOM.
Considerations when configuring License Management Service on VIOM server:
If License Management Service is configured on the VIOM server then the following License Management Service operations are restricted:
  • Any host-related operations such as adding a host or removing a host is restricted on License Management Service.
  • All software upgrade operations are restricted.
    Note: If you want to uninstall only License Management Service, then ensure that you remove theVRTSlmspackage only. Do not remove theVRTSsfmhpackage.
