Changes in InfoScale Volume Replicator Advisor (VRAdvisor)

The InfoScale VRAdvisor is a planning tool that helps you collect and analyze data based on your application's I/O patterns and network parameters. VRAdvisor uses that data to recommend optimal replication configuration settings such as required network bandwidth, size of the Storage Replicator Log (SRL), and the replication mode (synchronous or asynchronous).
The following changes are introduced in this release:
  • This release reintroduces the VRAdvisor tool with all the built-in data collection and data analysis features fully restored and functional as in previous InfoScale versions.
  • The VRAdvisor is supported on the operating systems that are supported by InfoScale 9.1.
  • VRAdvisor installer for UNIX platforms is included in the InfoScale 9.1 for Windows distribution package. You can find the tool in the Tools > storage_foundation directory.
  • You can install the VRAdvisor on any Windows system.
