In a Microsoft Azure environment SFW fails to auto discover SSD media type for a VHD
In a Microsoft Azure environment, the provisioned storage disks can be of SSD or HDD type. A hypervisor assigns these disks to a virtual machine as SCSI registered VHD disks. For the VHD disks, whether SSD or HHD, the media type information is identical. As a result, SFW fails to auto discover whether or not is the underlying disk an SSD. Failing this, you cannot leverage SFW capabilities for an SSD disk. (3908299)
Workaround:
To leverage SFW capabilities for an SSD disk, using VEA, manually classify an SSD disk.
