Viewing information about the maintenance release packages and patches for InfoScale Operations Manager

You can use the Management Server console to view details about the maintenance release packages and patches for InfoScale Operations Manager.
Some of the information that you can obtain from this view:
  • Is Obsolete: Indicates whether the package or patch is obsolete or not.
  • Release Date: Displays the release date of the package or patch.
  • Applicable Downtime: Indicates whether the package or patch requires application downtime or application restart.
  • Criticality: Indicates whether the package or patch is critical, recommended, or optional.
  • Deployable from VOM: Indicates whether the package or patch can be deployed from the Management Server console.
  • Has Kernel Component: Indicates whether the package or patch has a kernel component.
  • System reboot: Indicates whether system restart is required after installing the package or patch.
You can also use the given tab for more information on the selected package or patch:
  • Overview: The pie chart displays the host distribution of the selected package or patch.
  • Applicable Hosts: The details of the hosts on which the selected package or patch can be installed.
You can perform the following tasks in this view:
  • Install the patch or package.
  • Remove the patch or package.
  • Download the patch or package.
  • View details about the patch or package on SORT.
To view this information, your user group must be assigned the Admin role on the Management Server perspective.

  1. In the Management Server console, click Settings.
  2. Click Deployment.
  3. Click Maintenance Releases.
