Viewing the Available Product Updates report
The Available Product Updates report displays information on the hosts on which available updates for the Storage Foundation or Storage Foundation High Availability products are not yet installed.
The report displays details such as the following in the table:
-
Name of the host for which the Storage Foundation or Storage Foundation High Availability updates are available.
-
Platform of the host.
-
Name of the release in which the updates are released.
-
Date on which the update is released.
-
Type of the release.
-
Size of the update.
-
Criticality of the update
-
Whether the update has a kernel component
-
Whether the update requires a system reboot
-
Whether the update is obsolete.
You can view this information related to the hosts for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has a role assigned on the Server perspective.
Note: By default, the update information is scheduled to download from Services and Operations Readiness Tools (SORT) to Management Server once in seven days. Therefore, the report may contain available update data that might not have been recently updated. If the report that you have generated is empty, check whether the schedule has been run at least once. Scheduling the SORT download requires a role with access to the Management ServerSettingsview.
