Viewing the hot fixes for a selected product

You can use the Management Server console to view details of the hot fixes for a selected product.
Some of the information that you can obtain from this view:
  • Is Obsolete: Indicates whether the hot fix is obsolete or not.
  • Release Date: Displays the release date of the hot fix.
  • Applicable Downtime: Indicates whether the hot fix requires application downtime or application restart.
  • Criticality: Indicates whether the hot fix is critical, recommended, or optional.
  • Deployable from VOM: Indicates whether the hot fix can be deployed from the Management Server console.
  • Has Kernel Component: Indicates whether the hot fix has a kernel component.
  • System reboot: Indicates whether system restart is required after installing the hot fix.
You can also use the given tab for more information on the selected hot fix:
  • Overview: The pie chart displays the host distribution of the selected hot fix.
  • Applicable Hosts: The details of the hosts on which the selected hot fix can be installed.
You can perform the following tasks in this view:
  • Install the hot fix for the selected product.
  • Remove the hot fix for the selected product.
  • Download the hot fix for the selected product.
  • View details about the hot fix for the selected product on SORT.
To view this information, your user group must be assigned the Admin role on the Management Server perspective.
To view the hot fixes for a selected product
  1. In the Management Server console, click Settings.
  2. Click Deployment.
  3. Expand Hot Fixes to select a product.
  4. Click the Hot Fixes tab.
