Viewing the Resource Fault Trending report

In InfoScale Operations Manager, the Resource Fault Trending report displays the analysis of the trends of resource types in specific clusters to fault. The Resource Fault Trending report belongs to the Trend/Activity category.
At the top-right of the Resource Fault Trending report, you can view the following:
  • Scope that you specify for the report.
  • Date and time at which the report is generated.
  • Time period that is specified for the report.
The Resource Fault Trending report displays the fault trend analysis of the resource types in multiple clusters.
For each cluster, the report displays the fault trend analysis as follows:
  • Tables that list the summary and details of the analysis.
  • A Pie Chart and a graph that displays the analysis.
Below the name of the cluster, you can see the table that lists the summary of fault trend analysis.
In this table, you can view the following:
  • Resource type that is analyzed for fault trends.
  • Number of the faults that are occurred on the resources type.
  • Number of the resources that are associated with the resource type.
The pie chart displays the percentage of faults that are occurred on each resource. Different colors are used to signify different entries in the pie chart.
Using the mouse, you can point to a color in the pie chart to view the following details in the form of tool tip:
  • Name of the resource type that the color represents in the pie chart.
  • Number of the faults that are occurred on the resource type.
The graph displays the number of faults that are occurred at a given time period.
Below the graphical representation of the fault trend analysis, you can view the following details in a table:
  • Date and time at which the fault occurred.
  • Resource on which the fault occurred.
  • Service Group that is associated with the resource on which the fault occurred.
  • Host that is associated with the resource on which the fault occurred.
You can perform the following tasks in this view:
  • Subscribe for the report.
  • Save the report as a CSV file.
  • Email the report.
You can view this information related to the clusters and service groups for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view information if your user group has at least Guest role assigned on the Availability perspective.
To view the Resource Fault Trending report
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Availability perspective and expand Reports in the left pane.
  2. Click the Resource Fault Trending report.
  3. In the Select scope for Resource Fault Trending report wizard panel, select the scope of the report and click Run.
