Viewing the storage visible to hosts in a CVM cluster

Last published : Jul 06, 2026
You can use the Management Server console to view the storage visible to hosts in a CVM cluster. The Hosts view shows how each host in the cluster is using the available storage. Additional details are available about the host, such as whether it is the CVM master.
Some of the information that you can view:
  • Total Storage: The total amount of storage available to the host, including local storage, SAN storage, and remote storage.
  • Local Storage: Local storage can be in the form of Direct Attached Storage (DAS) or internal disk drives.
  • Remote Storage: A disk that is exported from one node would appear as remote on other nodes in the cluster (provided they do not share the disk physically).
To view operations you can perform on hosts from this view, right-click a host. For example, you can register a policy signature for a host.
