Viewing the storage attributes of a host

You can use the Management Server console to view information about storage attributes for a host and for an enclosure.
The storage attributes available for a host include the following:
  • DMP attributes: Provides information on the dynamic multi-pathing (DMP) attributes.
  • VxVM attributes: Provides information on the attributes of the Volume Managers that are associated with the host.
You can also view attributes for a specific enclosure that is associated with the host. These attributes include IO policy, Throttle, Error recovery, ASL name, ASL Version, Partition Size, Failover policy, Failover Mode, Redundancy, and the Use all paths.
You can view this information related to the hosts for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has at least Guest role assigned on the Server perspective.
To view the storage attributes of a host
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Server perspective and expand Manage in the left pane.
  2. Expand the Organization or Uncategorized Hosts to locate the host.
  3. Right-click the host and select Properties.
  4. In the Properties window, click the Storage Attributes tab.
To view the storage attributes of an enclosure associated with the host
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Server perspective and expand Manage in the left pane.
  2. Expand the Organization or Uncategorized Hosts to locate the host.
  3. Click the Enclosures tab.
  4. Right-click an enclosure and select Properties.
  5. In the Properties window, click the DMP Attributes tab.
