Viewing the clusters in an Organization

You can use the Management Server console to view the details about the clusters in an Organization.
Some of the information that you can obtain from this view:
  • Type: Type of the cluster configuration. For example, Failover, Restart, CVM, and Sybase. Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), Sybase Cluster Edition, and Sybase IQ, all three are listed as Sybase cluster.
  • HA Provider: HA provider for the cluster.
  • Version: Version of the HA provider.
  • Remote Cluster: Name of the associated remote cluster.
You can perform the cluster-related tasks from this view such as create service groups, start VCS, stop VCS, import type definition, and run fire drills.
You can view this information related to the clusters for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view information if your user group has at least Guest role assigned on the Availability perspective.
To view the clusters in an Organization
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Availability perspective and select Manage in the left pane.
  2. Select the required Organization in the navigation tree.
  3. Click the Clusters tab.
