Viewing bandwidth information for an RVG

Last published : Jul 06, 2026
Bandwidth information helps you calculate the cost of data replication between source and target hosts. You can use the Management Server console to view bandwidth information for a replicated volume group (RVG). The bandwidth view lets you generate a graph for the date range that you specify. The graph shows the amount of data transferred and the relationship between amount of data transferred and replication lag. Bandwidth information is collected hourly.
Note: On Windows, discovery of bandwidth information requires InfoScale Operations Manager 6.0 and later on the managed host and Management Server. On other operating systems, bandwidth information discovery is also supported on earlier versions of managed hosts where Add-on for InfoScale Volume Replicator Bandwidth reporting is installed. For more information on supported configurations, refer to theInfoScale Operations Manager Hardware and Software Compatibility List(HSCL).
Details in the table for each replication include:
  • Transmission time
  • Source host
  • Target host
  • Name of the replication link (rlink)
  • Total data that has been transmitted from the source to the target host through the rlink
You can view this information related to the hosts for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has at least Guest role assigned on the Server perspective.
To view bandwidth information for an RVG
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Server perspective and expand Manage in the left pane.
  2. Expand the Organization or Uncategorized Hosts to locate the host.
  3. Expand the host.
  4. Expand RVGs and select one.
