Viewing the virtualization information in the data center

You can use the Management Server console to view the information that is related to virtual infrastructure in your data center. It includes the details about virtualization servers, virtual machines, and the generated faults and alerts. The following charts are available:
  • Virtualization servers
  • Virtual machines
  • Faults and alerts
  • Datastore vendor breakup
  • Datastore unallocated virtual disks
  • Storage map by virtual machine state
  • Top virtual machines based on storage allocation
You can view this information related to the virtualization servers for which your user group has at least guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has at least guest role assigned on the Virtualization perspective.
To view the virtualization information in the data center
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Virtualization perspective and expand Manage in the left pane.
  2. Select Data Center to view the information related to virtualization.
