Viewing the Hyper-V storage pool in an Organization

You can use the Management Server console to view the information of a selected Hyper-V storage pool. The information includes the states of the virtual machines that consume storage form the storage pool, the details about unallocated virtual disks in the storage pool, storage pool allocation by vendors, storage breakup by VM state, and the top virtual machines based on the allocated storage. The following charts are available:
  • Virtual Machines States
  • Unallocated Virtual Disks
  • Allocation by vendors
  • Storage Breakup by VM state
  • Top Virtual Machines based on Storage Allocated
You can view this information related to the virtualization servers for which your user group has at least guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has at least guest role assigned on the Virtualization perspective.
To view the information of a Hyper-V storage pool in an Organization
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Virtualization perspective and expand Manage in the left pane.
  2. Select Data Center and click the Organization.
  3. In the Organization, navigate to Storage Pools , and click the required storage pool.
