Viewing the CVM clusters in the data center

Last published : Jul 06, 2026
You can use the Management Server console to view a table that lists all Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) clusters in the data center.
Some of the information that you can view:
  • Health of the cluster
  • Type (for example, CVM, CFS, or RAC)
  • Whether Flexible Storage Sharing (FSS) is supported for the cluster
  • CVM protocol version (the protocol version of the CVM cluster)
  • Number of systems
  • Version of Storage Foundation that is running on hosts in the cluster
If your user group has at least Guest role assigned on at least one of the hosts in the cluster, you can view the information for the cluster and the hosts in it. You can also view the information if your user group has at least Guest role assigned on the Server perspective.
From this view, you can right-click a cluster to create a disk group for the cluster.
To view the CVM clusters in the data center
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Server perspective and expand Manage in the left pane.
  2. Under Data Center, expand Storage Clusters.
  3. You can search for a cluster by entering a few letters of the cluster name on the Storage Clusters tab.
For more information on a specific cluster, double-click on the cluster name. On the Navigate to window, choose the current perspective or the Availability perspective.
