Viewing the Thin Provisioned LUNs report

Last published : Jul 06, 2026
The Thin Provisioned LUNs report helps you identify the thin provisioned LUNs in your data center. From this report, you can also understand whether you can reclaim a thin provisioned LUN.
Note: This report displays information on thin provisioned LUNs for UNIX/Linux managed hosts. It does not include information on Windows managed hosts.
The report uses a pie chart to display the distribution of physically allocated and unallocated storage space. You can view this pie chart under the heading Total Logical Storage Allocation.
Also, the report displays the following information in a table:
  • Host that is associated with the thin provisioned LUN.
  • Name of the thin provisioned LUN.
  • Whether you can reclaim the thin provisioned LUN.
  • Enclosure that is associated with the thin provisioned LUN.
  • Size of the thin provisioned LUN.
  • Consumed size.
  • Array volume ID.
You can view this information related to the hosts for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has a role assigned on the Server perspective.
