Viewing the disks visible to hosts in a CVM cluster

Last published : Jul 06, 2026
You can use the Management Server console to view all the disks visible to all the hosts in a CVM cluster. Some of the details for disks include the following: LUN, condition, enclosure, disk group, state (for example, in use or free in relation to that host), total size, number of paths, and Flexible Storage Sharing (FSS) state.
You can view the disks grouped by host or by disk. For FSS-enabled clusters with exported disks, the list of disks for a host includes the remote disks that can be viewed from that host, as well as disks exported from that host. Likewise, when grouped by disk, the view shows the correlation of an exported disk and its remote disks.
To view operations you can perform, right-click a disk. The same operations are available as when you view disks for a host.
Some of the operations you can perform include the following:
  • Create disk group.
  • Add disk to the disk group.
  • Export disks for Flexible Storage Sharing.
