Viewing the Underutilized LUNs Managed by Storage Foundation report

You can use the Underutilized LUNs Managed by Storage Foundation report to identify the LUNs that are underutilized. The report displays the details of the LUNs whose usage less than 20% of the total available storage.
The report displays the following information:
  • Name of the LUN.
  • The unused storage volume that is associated with the LUN (as seen by VxVM).
  • The used storage that is associated with the LUN (in percentage).
  • The hosts to which the LUN is connected.
  • Enclosure in which the LUN resides.
  • Disk group to which the LUN belongs.
  • Name of the disk media as identified by Storage Foundation that is referred to as VxVM Name.
  • The total storage volume that is associated with LUN as seen by Storage Foundation.
  • The total size of the LUN.
You can view this information related to the hosts for which your user group has at least Guest role explicitly assigned or inherited from a parent Organization. You can also view the information if your user group has a role assigned on the Server perspective.
To view the Underutilized LUNs Managed by Storage Foundation report
  1. In the Management Server console, go to the Server perspective and expand Reports in the left pane.
  2. With the Storage Utilization category displayed, click the Underutilized LUNs Managed by Storage Foundation report.
  3. In the Select Scope to run report wizard panel, select the scope of the report and click Run.
